Sanjojuku is located next to the Nijo Castle, which is considered world cultural heritage, and Shinsen’en. The “Sanjokai Shotengai” (shopping district,) which is the oldest in Kyoto, has always been of relevance for the locals, and is full of human warmth, is located at a 1 minute walk from our guesthouse.

【Transportation Information from JR Kyoto Station】
・Kyoto City Bus：
　Catch a Route #9 or #50 bus at the bus depot in front of the station and get off at Horikawa-oike.
Approximate bus travel time: 15 minutes; Adult fare: 230 yen
・Kyoto City Subway：
　Catch a train to Kokusai Kaikan and trasfer at Karasuma Oike. Then catch a Tozai Line train to Uzumasa Tenjingawa and get off at Nijojo-mae.
Approximate train travel time: 15 minutes; Adult fare: 260 yen
・By Taxi : Approximate 10 minutes

【On Foot】
・About 20 minutes walking from Sanjoukeihan Station towards Sanjoukai Shoutengai, through the Sanjou Meitengai Shopping Street.
・About 35 minutes walking from Kyoto Station to Kyoto Tower, passing in front of Nishi Hongan-ji Temple and continuing along Horikawa Doori Street.
